Robinson General Contracting is a small, owner-led business based in Port Perry.
Owner Geoff Robinson has 10 years of construction experience, most of it spent framing custom homes in Toronto.

The company is intentionally small and hands-on. Clients work directly with Geoff and his team from the first conversation to the final walkthrough, not a salesperson who passes the project along.

For renovations and additions, Geoff acts as the homeowner’s main point of contact, coordinating trades, managing the details and working on the client’s behalf throughout the project.

Services include interior renovations, basement finishing, additions, garages, decks, fences and custom outdoor builds.

For Geoff, Port Perry isn’t just where he does business, it’s home. He and his wife moved here four years ago and are now raising their two children in the community. Working locally means more than a shorter commute; it means using his experience to help neighbours improve their homes and building lasting relationships in the community his family is proud to be part of.

Here's what Robinson General Contracting has to share:

WHY YOUR CONTRACTOR MAY NOT BE “OVERBUILDING” Concrete-set fence posts, additional blocking and extra bracing can look like unnecessary material and labour on a quote. Often, however, these details are what give a structure its strength, stability and longevity. Building codes establish minimum requirements, but an experienced contractor also considers factors such as soil conditions, wind exposure, material movement and how the structure will be used. That may mean reinforcing certain areas beyond what is immediately visible or obvious. If you are unsure about something in a quote, ask your contractor to explain its purpose. A knowledgeable contractor should be able to tell you exactly why it is there and how it helps protect your investment.
