Nature & Nurture Psychotherapy is a virtual counselling practice founded by Michelle Miranda, a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), offering support to individuals across Ontario. The practice specializes in perinatal mental health, supporting clients through pregnancy, postpartum, birth trauma, and the emotional transition into parenthood, as well as pregnancy loss and fertility-related grief. Michelle also works with relationship and attachment challenges, including anxious attachment, people-pleasing, and emotional disconnection. Her approach is warm and client-centred, grounded in trauma-informed and attachment-based practice, integrating talk therapy, emotional regulation support, and creative approaches such as art therapy when helpful. All sessions are offered virtually, making support accessible no matter where in Ontario you’re located. New clients can book a free 15-minute consultation to see if it’s the right fit.

Here's what Nature & Nurture Psychotherapy has to share:

Baby blues vs postpartum depression: Baby blues are extremely common and usually fade within the first two weeks after birth. If low mood, anxiety, or feeling disconnected lasts longer than that, or feels like it's getting worse rather than better, it may be more than the blues, and support can help. You don't have to wait until things feel unbearable to reach out.
