At Elevate Women’s Health Centre, we specialize in the gentle, effective chiropractic care for women, children and babies. I’m Dr. Shawna Dingman, and I believe it takes a woman to truly understand the unique (and complicated!) health needs of women. As a mother of 3, I know that giving children the best start sets them up for great health as they grow and develop. I’ve been a practising chiropractor and pediatric / pregnancy certified practitioner since 2000. My emphasis at EWHC is caring for women and children at every stage of their lives. We are located in the heart of downtown Port Perry with great parking and easy access. If you’re ready to elevate your health and the health of your family, hit the website link and let’s get started!

Here's what Elevate Women's Health Centre has to share:

The Best Question You Can Ask If You Want to be Healthy One of the best questions you can ask about your health is: “Why is this symptom here?” So often, we’re taught to simply chase symptoms — headaches, tension, poor sleep, fatigue, digestive issues, stress, back pain — without asking what the body may be trying to communicate. This is especially true with children. Why would their little bodies exhibit symptoms like colic, ear infections, constipation or general fussiness? Symptoms are often signals, not the true problem itself. They are the only way the body has to communicate a problem! If we want healthier families and a healthier community, we need to start asking different questions. Instead of only focusing on getting rid of the problem, ask what may be contributing to it in the first place: stress, posture, nervous system overload, lack of rest, movement patterns, or the everyday demands placed on our bodies as women, mothers, and caregivers. At my practice, I take a "root-cause" approach to health and healing. Chiropractic care is designed to support the nervous system — the system that helps your body adapt, heal, and function well through every stage of life. When the body functions better, people often notice improvements not only in pain, but in energy, sleep, resilience, and overall wellbeing. Because true health isn’t just about covering up symptoms — it’s about helping your body work the way it was designed to. If you’re looking for a more connected, proactive approach to health for yourself or your family, I’d love to help support you on that journey.
